Why use a browser CSV viewer?

Opening a CSV in a spreadsheet app is slow, and it often changes your data on the way in — long numbers become scientific notation, leading zeros vanish from zip codes and IDs, and anything that looks like a date gets silently reformatted.

This viewer just shows you exactly what is in the file:

Sort by clicking any column header (it detects numbers, so 1,240 sorts above 98).
Filter rows with the search box to find a value fast.
Nothing is uploaded. The file is read locally by your browser — it never touches a server, which matters when the CSV has customer or financial data in it.

Large files display the first 2,000 rows to stay responsive, and the download button gives you back a properly escaped CSV.

Is my data safe?

Yes. This page has no backend at all — reading and parsing happen entirely in your own browser.
